Those would make sense in a general use sort of way, but they don't exactly fit into Light, Dark, Elemental idea

Curses with Dark maybe, but Animalia's magic was a bit more primal (shapeshifting into monsters and all that, kind of Dark) and if you were thinking of incorporating actual pagan rituals into the lore, then it makes less sense to use HP spells.

Wands can be used, though could they just be optional tools to focus the magic? I think adding the HP spells as a general use sort of magic that do not fall under the three main categories could be interesting.

Maybe tweak the curses to be weaker than legitimate dark magic? Or be simplified dark magic?

Protection spells simplified light magic?

And then the actual spells or such that falls under Dark, Light and Elemental just have a nondiscript ancient language we use through italics. Or maybe elfish, because ELVES! There are enough fantasy elf languages out there to translate and reference from anyways/ From Skyrim to Dragon Age, to even LotR.

And the more complex a spell from any branch of magic, the more prep has to go through it.

Yea, we really need to just hangout one day and think it all though tbh. But I mean, I think we should do what you were saying and its just a kind of in between magic, not exactly one type.
